SONG REVIEW

Jason Mraz – I Won't Give Up Lyrics
[jason mraz]
when i look into your eyes
it’s like watching the night sky
or a beautiful sunrise
well there’s so much they hold
and just like them old stars
i see that you've come so far
to be right where you are
how old is your soul?
i won't give up on us
even if the skies get rough
i’m giving you all my love
i’m still looking up
and when you're needing your space
to do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
to see what you find
cause even the stars they burn
some even fall to the earth
we've got a lot to learn
god knows we're worth it
no, i won't give up
i don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
i’m here to stay and make the difference that i can make
our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use the tools and gifts
we got yeah we got a lot at stake
and in the end, you're still my friend at least we didn't tend
for us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
we had to learn, how to bend without the world caving in
i had to learn what i got, and what i’m not
and who i am
i won't give up on us
even if the skies get rough
i’m giving you all my love
i’m still looking up
i’m still looking up
i won't give up on us
god knows I'm tough, he knows
we got a lot to learn
god knows we're worth it
i won't give up on us
even if the skies get rough
i’m giving you all my love
i’m still looking up
[Lyrics I Won't Give Up performed by Jason Mraz]

I love this song so much! I think that he sang it amazingly and it can be interpreted in many different ways. Jason Mraz did a very good job by singing it in a very melodious tone and I believe the purpose of the song is for lovers to encourage their lovers. However, different people gives a different opinion regarding the lyrics.

As for me, I can say that the song can be an advice from parents to their sons instead for lovers only. In my opinion, parents are the one who really understand us since he watched us grow and they also become the first supportive person in our life. They also always loved us since the moment we were exist in the womb.

Other than that, from the title of the song itself showed us to stand on our feet and never give up on anything because that is what a loser did. To be a winner, we should overcome all the barriers that prevent us from achieving success. That is what I can understand from the lyrics. I believe our parents always watch our back since in the womb  till now in order to make sure we achieve what we want and always being supportive when we needed them the most.

In this opportunity, I want to share my sad story where my GPA for 2nd semester was dropped very badly to 3.16. Then after the new semester started, my friends keep asking me what is my pointer, I only can answer them "I didn't got dean list'. Since my classmates are an intelligence students so they won't trust my answer. I was very disappointed, I looked back to what I had done for the whole semester and what I realized was my that was all my mistake. Actually I felt down, and I kept telling myself that I will revenge on the remaining 4 semester and Alhamdulillah thumma Alhamdulillah my result for 3rd semester was boost up high and I got the highest GPA pointer for that semester for male students only. Afterwards, my result kept increasing and I kept remembering my most terrible mistake in Diploma which is the dark memory of 2nd semester.  I can't cover up my CGPA to be high because of the downfall of the pointer since it will effect all semester cumulatively.

For those who read my blog and thinking of quitting your study or thinking that you cannot go through the subject, I suggest you to remember your parents, remember their efforts in everything they did to make sure you got placed in the university. There is no need to think about your boyfriend or etc since it will only make your mind become dirty, and always remember this sentence:
"Ilmu itu tidak akan melekat pada si pelaku maksiat"
Remember my advice, don't you have a bit thinking if you got high pointer, wealth, happiness and so on but you never come close to Allah? Just remind you, maybe Istidraj may already occur to you. That is what I scared the most every time I got any Nikmat, just because of this Istidraj. You can google what is Istidraj or asking anyone who knows about it.

That's all for my last entry, hope my words didn't make anyone think bad about me. Honestly didn't have any intention to insult and offend anyone. Peace no war :D

COMMUNITY SERVICE

EXHAUSTED . TIRED . SATISFIED . HAPPY . THANKFUL

Those three words are as a general conclusion of the community service that had been succeed by all students of MGT538 under observation of Madam Azfahanee and Madam Sarah.

Now I would like to tell the job that had been done by BM2493B, yeah even there were only a little tasks as compared to the upper management who use their brain to plan all those things but I just like to share with the readers.

Okay first of all my class got the task to prepare all the hamper for winners, the prize for lucky draw, and find the donors for anything to be given to the villagers.

Before that, Alina is the one who leads the class in completing the task given to us, thanks Alina!
What Alina did was she divided us into a few groups. As for my group, we need to prepare the hamper and buy all the items in it, other groups prepares the prize for the lucky draw and another group prepare for the candies. So for the candies, we do some collections as a donation.

The day of community service was held on 8th November 2014, alhamdulillah thumma alhamdulillah our community service starts with a rain came down since fajr. In the morning, we gathered as early as 6.30 am at Depo Bus (actually I came late 5 minutes). Then we went all together to the Kampung Haji Kudung by bus, if I'm not mistaken there was 5 bus in total.

In the morning at Kampung Haji Kudung we were divided into a few groups and my group members were Tasriq, Nazmi, Nadzirah, Nabihah, Ika, Izzaty, Liana, Liyana, Ageerah and Nabilah. We were sent to Kampung Permatang Kelompang and after that we went to MakNak House. What we did there was cleaning, cooking, and so on. After all the work done there, the owner MakNak served us with one of special food here which is Pek Nga, MakNak also specialized in making them, that was what the villagers said to us. I admit that I never heard of that Pek Nga name before, yeah I'm a traveller so this is good for me to lives as one of Kedahan. Proud to be Kedahan!

Next, we went to the Surau at Kampung Permatang Kelompang and had a little chit chat with the Tok Ketua there, what we ashamed of was the Tok Ketua already prepared to us some goodies bag and a certificate to us as a gift from them and as a thankful way of saying.

Then we moved to visit the Paddy Field and had some photo shoot there, oh forgot to mention here, we enjoyed ride a motor, but only some of us got the chance to ride a motor since it was limited and the rest was ride a van. After that the villagers brought us walked around the village including the tragedy river in which that area is the former flood area, and at the end all our shoes became so dirty because of the path taken / road to there was covered by mud and slippery. Lastly before we went back to the Dewan Masjid, we visited some of the villagers there such as old folks and sick people at the village. That was so exciting experience!

In the evening, there is no specific activity for our class, so our class altogether went to Sekolah there to follow Mentor Mentee Program conducted by other classes. What we did there was observed how they conduct the program and distribute the candies to all of the participants and some kids who are nearby.

In the afternoon, we got specific task which was giving the hamper and all the prizes to all the winners as well as the prizes for lucky draw. The program was finished approximately at 7.00 pm.

Thanks guys, thanks classmates, and thanks everyone who participated in succeed the Community Service event.
Thanks to Madam Azfahanee for all the guide and her teaching she showed to us from the first till the end.

QUOTE

التأجيل لص الزمان
(BERTANGGUH ITU PENCURI MASA)

I guess readers already know what I want to talk about isn't?
Actually this is one of the "Hikam Wal Amsal" or in Malay we called it as "Kata-Kata Hikmah".
I learnt this quote when I was in form 5 back in my secondary school life.

Indeed, Time Is Precious.

There is no turning back to do this and to do that. There is only one chance we experience the time in one time and then the time will pass and goes by without we realize either the time is used with good thing or not. As a human being, time is something that must be used wisely, if we always delaying our work then it will cause difficulty to us in the future. Let say I got a task to be completed in a week time, then the task must be done as soon as possible because I doesn't know what task will I get in the future, so if I delays my work then the task will keep coming again and again so that it will make me become very busy in the future to complete all tasks in a short time. At the end, the result is my task may be completed but in a bad way, I mean not in the best performance.

So that is one of my favourite quote, and I still remember the quote because I'm the one who presented the quote in front of the class and my scary Arabic male teacher by speaking in Arabic. That was so interesting presentation and that was so much fun in it during my back day in my secondary school.

"SEKALI KITA MENIPU, KITA AKAN TERUS MENIPU DAN MENIPU UNTUK MENUTUP PEMBOHONGAN YANG SEBELUMNYA"

Another quote I wants to share here is about lying habits. I guess readers not really understand what does the quote means isn't? Yeah even I didn't really understand the meaning by hearing it from the first time.

I got this quote from my friend, I guess he is the one who create this quote because I never heard of it before. So before I tell readers about the quote I am proud to introduced one of my best friend at PLKN. Okay his name is Teguh Indra Putra, a Sabahan, coming from Tawau and currently he is studying engineering course at UPNM, a tough guy but soft in the heart, we met at PLKN at Kem Millennium, Beranang, Selangor. Actually there are so much quote coming from his mouth but I'm only attracted to this one to be shared to all my blog readers.

Lying habits is not a good one because it will cause us sins and as a Muslim we should know that tongue is the most sharp thing in the world. By using our tongue we can collect as many reward 'pahala' as much as we can but by using it also we can cause us so much sin in return. Basically when we want to tell something to our friend we just need to tell them the truth even it is hard to say. There is another quote saying "Berkatalah benar walaupun pahit".

Back to our quote, the continuous lying starts with the first lying, for an example:

Lecturer: Why are you late?
Student : My motor was breakdown. (The truth is he overslept) - 1st lying
Lecturer: Is it true?
Student : Yes. (The truth is no) - 2nd lying
Lecturer: But in a month, almost each class you comes late to the class. Why?
Student : I only spoke the truth sir, this time my motor was breakdown.
(The truth is he always slept late at night and woke up late in the morning) - 3rd lying

Can you see how it goes? So that quote really makes me feel really bad every time I wants lying to someone because it will keep continue to lie and at the end there are so many sins coming from lying, that is what scared me. Maybe some of you think it is only a small lie or a small thing but lying is still consider as lying and we as a Muslim can only speak the truth otherwise people will lose faith to us and nobody can trust a liar.

BAD THINGS DO HAPPENS

Actually this topic is quite ashamed to publish since it will exposed my bad side with my friends, but since this is an assignment so I have to publish it no matter what.

1. Conflict of Utilities
  • This conflict always occur at the end of the month when utilities bills arrived at home.
  • After shocked with the bills some of us will highlight who and what is caused the utilities bills increase so high.
  • The solution is we paid the bills and in the first few days we tried to save our utilities usage but at the end there is no change, it kept happened every month -_-".
2. Conflict of Understanding
  • This is regarding the understanding of independence way of life.
  • Some of us like to study at the earlier time and some of us will study last minute.
  • In this case there is no ending since the other one loves to study but only do his own life while the other one study last minute and blame the others for not advise him sooner.
  • At the end, they got dean list and both ways of life can be accepted.
3. Conflict of Bond Relation
  • Some of us rather spend time on girlfriend (calling for hours) rather than housemate.
  • Since I'm not on to girlfriend thing in which I don't have any, so I just feel they are selfish because a friend is in a need of friend, they don't even know that their housemate is in problem.
  • So we just spend our time with games, movies and so on.
  • I am a man who doesn't like seeing a man with a woman together chilling out or happy laughing just like no restriction in Islam, I just assumed they don't know about 'Ikhtilat'. Walaupun sudah bernikah Islam tidak menghalalkan untuk keluar berdua, apatah lagi berseronok walaupun berada di khalayak ramai.
I guess that's it for my bad relationship with my friends, oh forgot to mention, all those stories are related with my life during my Diploma at UiTM Jengka. I think I should not tell more bad things about my friends, it is not good.

Below are some of my pictures with my friends and classmates. I followed class trip vacation only after being forced by my classmates.

ADVERTISEMENT REVIEW (Support The Good Deeds)

A Good Deed is so worthy if it comes from our heart, "ikhlas Lillahi Ta'ala."

In this video it shows a man who loves to help other people around him from different type of ages and also helps the animal and the trees. He always helps them without hoping any return from them, he is very happy by helping other people.

There is a quote said that:
"The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up."

I'm definitely agree with the quote, Islam also encourage people helping each other without considering any return. There is also one meaning from the Hadith saying that "sedekah satu, Allah akan balas dengan sepuluh kali ganda."

The return doesn't necessarily in the same kind we give but it can be, and the form of giving doesn't necessarily in form of money, it can be in form of energy support or moral support.

One story regarding the Sadaqah that can be taken as an example for us is a story from the companion of Rasulullah, the great sahabah Saidina Ali (R.A) Karramallahu Wajhah, where he donate one Delima to an old women and in return he get 10 Delima from Rasulullah. Actually the story is quite long but I just want to stated the main point which is one we give, we will get back 10 in return. We just have to have faith in Allah, He is the one who is The Most Powerful.

After you watched the video there is an act of mocking by some people, yeah that is a bad thing to do, supposedly we should support other people doing the good things even the return is in form of happiness or etc. Mocking other people is not a good thing to do, it will only cause something bad if you mock people who likes to keep hatred in them.

Therefore, we should change our behaviour and do not ever do something bad towards others, just helping them especially the one who in need. Help people around us even it is a small thing to help. Me myself feels really happy by helping others and I am so eager to participate in the 'Community Service' on 8th November.

PERKONGSIAN BERMANFAAT

Firman Allah Taala:
(Surat Adz-Dzariat ayat 55).

Here I just want to share several links from Youtube Channel that I always watched during my leisure time. All those links are regarding the Islamic talks from the Muslim speakers. Those are powerful reminder that has been visualize and put an english subtitle into it from the original audio itself and some of them are taken directly during the speaker doing the talks.

My favourite Youtube Channel:

TheMercifulServant: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMercifulServant/videos
TheInkOfScholarsChannel: http://www.youtube.com/user/inkofscholars/videos
Speedawah: http://www.youtube.com/user/Speedawah/videos

Quran Weekly: http://www.youtube.com/user/QuranWeekly/videos
Motive Islam: http://www.youtube.com/user/MotiveIslam/videos
Love Allah 328: http://www.youtube.com/user/LoveAllah328/videos
iLuvUAllah: http://www.youtube.com/user/iLovUAllah/videos
Forever Muslim 93: http://www.youtube.com/user/ForeverMuslim93/videos

Other than that, I also wants to share a few local Muslim speakers based on their youtube channel.

Dr. MAZA: http://www.youtube.com/user/realdrmaza/videos
Dr. Zaharuddin: http://www.youtube.com/user/drzaharuddin/videos
TH Filem: http://www.youtube.com/user/TuanHell/videos

There are so many Muslim speakers in Malaysia and other countries but they don't have an official youtube channel, most of their talks are uploaded by other person such as:

Sheikh Maulana Habib Al-Jufri (one of the true descendants of our Prophet)
Brother Shah Kirit
Ustaz Don
Ustaz Abdullah Khairi
Ustaz Kazim Elias
UAI
Ustaz Harussani
Ustaz Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man
Ustaz Nasaruddin
Ustaz Zahazan
Dr. Zakir Naik
Allahyarham Habib Munzir
and many more.

Actually I want to share a few Maulana Maulana names here but I decided not to because some of them had warned people who wants listen to his talk to not take any picture or make any audio recording for the talk, I'm sure they have their own reason for that. Maybe readers thinking that why not I just share their names isn't? Even I share their names here, you can only find a few talk from them if you're lucky. There are plenty numbers of Islamic youtube channel available on youtube, depends on ourselves whether to click on the title and find it or just ignore them.

Oh! Before I forgot, today I watched one of the MTAS video regarding the Niqab. Yeah I don't want to explain about Niqab actually, maybe some of you might disagree about the practice of Niqab in Malaysia but it's okay, everyone have their own reason. Just watch this video on how they try to spread the practice of Niqab in Malaysia.

I'm a man and I'm touched watching the video. A bit shame to admit that when I watch it suddenly my eyes burst into tears when I saw even the free hair woman tried to test how to wear a Niqab, I guess she is a non-Muslim, a white people with a brown hair. Anyway, even if she is a non-Muslim at least she tried to look like a Muslim thou, wear like a Muslim, and some of the woman who came to the booth also shed a tears. They make every effort to spread the Niqab culture among Malaysian people. I'm so proud of MTAS and the group of women who conduct the Niqab experience on the street. This is the video I said about, please watch!

This is a woman scenario, but for me, I had experienced many times lives in a scenario where people around me wearing Jubah or Kurta, with the fragrances of Minyak Attar, it feels so calm. It feels so warm to have such kind of people around me, and I can imagine how woman will feels when they also having a scenario like me, which is such kind women with women and men with men. I bet you will having a good life if you got a friends like that.
"Sejuk Mata Memandang"
Plus with a Nur from their faces because of the Solah and the effects of Wudhu', whooo I really eager to tell my experience but reading and the feels in the real situation is a huge different. Try it guys! Whoever read my blog, I'm sorry to tell you all this story, I just feels happy to share my experience lives with such good people, I'm hoping you got the experience more than me in the future. Actually I just planning to share the link above, but this is looks like too long for this entry, nevermind at least I can tell you about the Niqab and my experience.

Integrity and Ethics

Both meaning of integrity and ethics are from Wikipedia. Even though Wikipedia is deemed as untrusted because anyone can alter the information there, but I still can get some ideas from the meaning of integrity and ethics from the Wikipedia. I'm not only search the meaning through one source thou, I also go for other sources to get better understanding of the meaning from words "Integrity and Ethics".

Okay, before I search for both words in Wikipedia, I can understand the general meaning of integrity as discipline while ethics as a rules and regulations made by human to make sure have a good manner.

Based on my prior knowledge, I said integrity as discipline because I am a police cadet during my secondary school which is the Motto for Police Cadet is Quality, Integrity and one more I forgot but, the one I remember was Integrity. FYI, I'm very interested in marching and I enter the marching competition until the level state since my school is the one that conquer this competition at district level. Btw, back to the main point, the reason why I said integrity as discipline is because in the Police Cadet, I had been taught many things especially regarding disciplines and our Sub-Inspector, the one who has the highest level of rank in Police Cadet for secondary school level always reminded us to be punctual and be disciplined such as comes early for training, always tidy and etc. He also reminds us about the integrity regarding the disciplines of ourselves and the commitment to improve the quality of police squad in any marching competition. Then I guess that's it for integrity since I have less knowledge about the integrity but I got the main idea what the meaning of integrity is after searching over internet.

Next is ethics. Actually this is a common word that has been heard since we are still kids and the word ethics can be seen at so many places, such as the mural at the school's walls, and at the advertising and so on. Okay what I understand about ethics is rules and regulations made by human to make sure our human behaviour is well mannered. Well that is from my understanding which is when someone said that we have an ethics or not that means I understand people asking about either we are a person who follow rules or not. Whatever the meaning is ethics is something good and related to human behaviour which is obviously a good behaviour. That's all I can say about ethics and both are my opinion about those two words which is:
"Integrity and Ethics"
